HOPE 4 THE PEOPLE CHOIR AND STEPPERS 

 In 2005, HOPE 4 The People choir and steppers received permission to perform at churches and community organizations. Only inmates from Texas HOPE Literacy who are peer educators or students are eligible to participate. All must pass an audition and sign an agreement agreeing to abide by the policies and procedures of HOPE 4 The People. The inmates know it is an honor and privilege to serve the Lord in musical expression, and to represent the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Dawson State Jail, and Texas HOPE Literacy program to the community.
